Fashion trends are something that are in vogue for a relatively long period of time, thus influencing the purchasing decisions of many people. Trends may either be good or bad, with good trends bringing in a lot of positive vibes and great discounts at the time of purchase. On the other hand, there are also bad trends that may have quite an adverse effect on the fashion industry. Such trends may either affect the costumers directly or may even affect the entire fashion industry indirectly.

As far as the latter is concerned, the pandemic situation has done a lot to change the face of the fashion industries. With more people are shopping for clothes, the competition has grown fiercer. The result is that some fashion industries are experiencing slump whereas others are experiencing an upward trend. There are various reasons for this. Some may be seasonal in nature, while others may be affected by the changing economy. But whatever the reason is, the effect is drastic.

With the pandemic situation, the costs of the items that are being sold have gone down. This is one reason, which is having a great impact on the overall spending pattern of consumers. For instance, the prices of branded dresses have come down considerably and this is very advantageous for the wholesale fashion industry. At the same time, this situation is having a negative effect on the fashion industry directly. Since the retailers are now selling at lower prices, they are losing a lot of money, which they can use to invest in more products and in newer fashion trends.
